TERC Investigations is a K-5 curriculum that encourages mathematical thinking and learning in students. Students engage in mathematical content as they develop number sense, visualize and describe geometric relationships, and collect and analyze data. Students use a variety of concrete materials and technology to express mathematical thinking through talking, drawing, and writing in a collaborative environment.
One such use of technology is First in Math. Since 1988, First in Math's online games have honed skills and built compentency. Students play games that range from addition to multi-step algebra and are organized into skill sets. Each game builds upon the skills acquired in previous games.
Early childhood teachers implement Building Blocks, a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded curriculum. This exemplary curriculum was designed to enable all young children to meet the new pre-K to grade 2 standards developed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
